Born to Russian parents during Japanese occupation in Northern China, Alec Trost spent his childhood in one of the coldest towns on earth, near the Mongolian Border.
He learned to love literature from an early age and started writing short stories and poems for his family and friends.
After emigrating to Australia, Alec graduated in electrical engineering and worked in many different roles, including some around Australia and overseas.
Seeing animals struggling around the world reinforced his belief that we all need to do more to take better care of them. He has also been a keen community volunteer. (Source: Dennis Jones & Associates website)
