'From the rocky shores of Encounter Bay, around the sweeping bend of the river at Goolwa and out into the magnificent wilderness of the Coorong, all these places Hubert Frank Tripp would call home. He was a Ramindjeri man of the Ngarrindgeri nation, a son of a highly respected family of the district, a World War One Anzac veteran, a skilled sportsman and fisherman. To those who knew him he was affectionately called Skewey or Hewey...' (Foreword)
