This article reports on the debut performance of the theatre group 'Hispania', comprised of Spanish language students at the University of New South Wales and directed by Patricia Boero and John Brotherton. Their opening performance consisted of three pieces, the first performed by José Barroso, Luis Oliviera, Walter González and Gabriela Cabral. The second piece, 'Asesinato de X' was written by Argentinian students in 1969; however, the author writes that the circumstances could apply, at the time of this performance, to Uruguay or Chile or many other countries. The third piece was 'Pic-Nic' an absurdist drama by Fernando Arrabal.
