AbstractHistoryArchive Description

' The Valemink family; Mum, a plump, jolly lady, Dad, tall and skinny with a big nose, Ria aged 10 and Zac aged eight, had just arrived from faraway Kerang. They sat in their car and gazed at the tiny town that was going to be their home for several months.

'If you've read The Gannawarra Goppo, you might remember that Mr and Mrs Valemink were scientists who worked for the Australian Agricultural Department. They have now been sent to Chinkapook to scientifically analyse why it was named the place of red earth by the Aborigines. But this story is not about that..' (Publication summary)
