BiographyHistory

Although she is also a reviewer, Annette Marfording is best known for her 2015 work, Celebrating Australian Writing: Conversations with Australian Authors, which features in-depth interviews with twenty-one Australian writers.

Marfording arrived in Australia from Germany in 1985, and soon developed an abiding interest in Australian writing. Formerly a legal academic at the University of New South Wales and a reviewer for the Law Society Journal, she more recently reviews for Rochford Street Review and the Newtown Review of Books.

From 2011 to 2015, she was program director of the Belligen Readers and Writers Festival.
