BiographyHistory

Julian Leatherdale first wrote for the theatre: on graduation, he wrote lyrics for four satirical cabarets and a two-act musical. He was a staff writer, researcher and photo editor for Time-Life's Australians At War series and the Film Australia-ABC documentaries Return to Sandakan and The Forgotten Force. Other work included image researcher at the State Library of New South Wales and public relations manager for a hotel school in the Blue Mountains, where he lived with his wife and two children.

He died in early 2020 after an illness of less than twelve months.
