According to the National Library of Australia's Trove database, these are published transcripts of the Franklin Papers, held by the Royal Society of Tasmania (University of Tasmania Library, Special and Rare Materials Collection), 'although Mackaness omitted parts, particularly of Lady Franklin's letters.'
