Donna Lu is a writer and reviewer. She originally covered books and the arts for a range of Australian periodicals and newspapers, and then became the Australasia reporter at New Scientist.
In 2020, she was shortlisted for the UNSW Bragg Prize for Science Writing for 'Stranger Things' (New Scientist), on sulhpur-breathing microbes.
