AbstractHistoryArchive Description

'Hold on life tells the story of a young Perth woman, Kate, whose normally ordered, work-oriented life descends into a whirlwind following her sister Sam's shock diagnosis with Stage 4 ovarian cancer. With Sam's outlook grim, Kate is consumed by grief as she watches her beloved sister, lose her grip on life and her family. Just when Kate feels there is no light, she meets Patrick, a new comer at work who is obviously interested in her. When Sam's chemotherapy fails to slow the cancer in its tracks, she is given just months to live. The rollercoaster of Sam's suffering affects everyone in its path and what Kate witnesses, is darker than she had imagined it could be, until an unexpected turn of events reveals the incredible truth about Sam's disease. Sam and Kate's fierce struggle to hold on to life is a work of fiction, inspired by true events.' (Publication summary)
