An American re-make of the Australian series of the same name. The re-make was not popular with audiences, and no further episodes were made after the initial thirteen.

  • Note on authorship:

    Rake was developed for US television by Australian script-writer Peter Duncan (creator of the Australian series on which the American adaptation was based) and American script-writer Peter Tolan.

    Peter Duncan, Richard Roxburgh, and Charles Waterstreet all received 'based on the Australian television series created by' credits.

    Other script-writers associated with the project were Kit Boss, Allison Abner, Sara Goodman, and Sam Catlin.

  • Note on directors:

    Australian directors Cherie Nowlan and Jeffrey Walker worked on episodes of the American adaptation of Rake. Other directors involved in the project were American, including Sam Raimi, Adam Arkin, Jon Avnet, Adam Davidson, Roxann Dawson, Paul A. Edwards, Amy Heckerling, Rosemary Rodriguez, and Scott Winant.
