BiographyHistory

'Harriet Gaffney is a writer, arts administrator and scholar with a passion for the untold stories of Australian settlement. She has a Masters in Creative Writing. In 2015 Harriet was awarded the Varuna Eric Dark Flagship Fellowship and was a finalist in the Lord Mayor’s Creative Writing Awards. In 2014 she won the Writers Victoria Regional Writers Award for the short story ‘Recognition’, and in 2012 The Grace Marion Wilson Award for the creative non-fiction piece ‘A Battered Heart’.'
