Production Details

  • According to Richard Fotheringham's Australian Plays for the Colonial Stage, this version was first produced in San Francisco in July 1885, whereafter it toured the United States for at least three years (p.457).

    Lurline Stuart (in her Academy Edition of His Natural Life) puts the premiere at 19th July 1885, at the Grand Opera House, San Francisco.
