La sonnambula (The Sleepwalker) is a two act opera written by Vincenzo Bellini in the bel canto tradition and set to an Italian libretto by Felice Romani which is itself based on a scenario for a ballet-pantomime written by Eugène Scribe (the ballet had premiered in Paris in 1827).
A topical and musical burlesque founded on the Bellini opera, it was presented as the second production for Harry Leston's season of burlesque under the Dan Tracey management.
