AbstractHistoryArchive Description

The writer for the Australasian's 'Topics of the Week' trespasses 'on the province of our respected friend [and theatre reviewer] "Jaques"'. The writer provides an account of a 'meeting' held at St George's Hall on 13 June 1868; the meeting's purpose 'seemed to be to furnish a humourous travestie of an English political meeting'.
