List of episodes

Note: Episode synopses and broadcast dates drawn from contemporary television guides.

1. The Big Day (broadcast 3 August 1979)

In episode one, Miller is preparing to start a new job but as a sideline tries his hand as a stand-up comic at a club. Despite the best of advice from the club manager (and his former workmates), his act isn't a success — and Marilyn has her own special surprise. ([Television guide], Canberra Times, 3 August 1979, p.20)

2. The First Day (broadcast 10 August 1979)

The dawn of a new day sees a brand new Miller — not the old "sleep in late, get to work late, never get anything done Miller Williams". ([Television guide], Canberra Times, 10 August 1979, p.20)

3. Day Out (broadcast 17 August 1979)

No synopsis available.

4. Moving Day (broadcast 24 August 1979)

Miller starts the day determined to get a pay rise but again he's sidetracked and is invited to a lunch at Keith's home instead. What's-her-name is also invited and she's not terribly happy about it. The intimate lunch for four isn't quite as Miller imagined it. ([Television guide], Canberra Times, 24 August 1979, p.24)

5. Long Day (broadcast 31 August 1979)

Miller can't win. He stays up all night working on plans for a home unit project and as always Keith is two steps ahead of him. Even Marilyn is one step ahead; she has a dream that Miller has been unfaithful. ([Television guide], Canberra Times, 31 August 1979, p.24.)

6. Birthday (broadcast 7 September 1979)

No synopsis available.

7. New Day (broadcast 14 September 1979)

Against the advice of Marilyn, Loretta and Richard, Miller accepts the general managership of the business. His first executive decision is to arrange a business trip with Loretta to Tamworth ... but Marilyn has a unique way of spoiling his plans. ([Television guide], Canberra Times, 14 September 1979, p.20)
