A short paragraph entitled 'Invention of Printing' (probably taken from an unknown international paper) reports that a 'grand festival was observed at Mentz in honor of the invention of printing, that lasted during three days : the 14th, 15th, and 16th August [1837]. A Te Deum was sung in grand choral force by above twelve hundred voices.' (18)
