BiographyHistory

Ishmeet Kaur specializes in Australian Literature, Post-colonial Studies and Literatures from the Margins. Along with the main stream Australian Literature, she has ventured into Indigenous studies of Australia and India. Her doctoral research has been comparative study of Patrick White Guru Granth Sahib...Kaur has translated works of Bushra Ezaj, Pakistani writer and Veena Verma, Punjabi Diasporic writer from Punjabi into English. This is her first translation from English to Punjabi. She has translated Bushra Ezaj's book of poems in English Just Before the Dream, 2011.

Kau has been actively involved in research in Australian Literature and Skih Studies. She has lately published an edited volume on Patrick White, Patrick White : Critical Issues, 2014. Kaur has worked an Assistant Professor at Centre for English Studies, Central University of Gujarat, Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India.
