BiographyHistory

H. T. Arden wrote a number of burlesques for the British stage during the 1860s and 1870s, including The Armourer's Daughter (1866), Princess Charming (1867), The Right Heir (1868), Nobody's Child (1870), and Harlequin Prince Happy-Go-Lucky (No year). His 1867 burlesque, The Belle of Barley Mew was localised for Australian audiences (as The Belle of Woolloomooloo) by Grosvenor Bunster in 1872.
