Notes

  • New Zealand's Star newspaper records that F. Wynne Jones, presently with the Willoughby-Geach company, had been invited to produce some musical works in America. According to the report the first work to be produced, a one-act dramatic opera called The Cardinal, had recently been completed. It's storyline is said to have been based on an incident in the life of the famous Cardinal Richelieu (4 February 1904, 3). No production of this work has yet been located, however.
