Including (in addition to soldiers in training, whose appearance was improved by the Department of Information), Shirley Ann Richards, John Fleeting, Joe Valli, Barry Ross, Grant Taylor, Gilbert Ellis, Lorna Westbrook and Aileen Britten.

Several of the male actors were serving in forces at the time the film was made, including those with previous acting experience: John Fleeting (who has appeared in a number of Cinesound Productions), who was a sergeant in the A.I.F., and Grant Taylor (who had starred in Forty Thousand Horsemen), who was a private in the A.M.F..

Of the female actors, Aileen Britten was in the V.A.D.
