Nothing is known of this author. 'The election candidates' in the story by W. T- -r. published in the Australian Magazine, February 1838 (set in a village near the English town of Exeter) are described by the author as types 'familiar to many persons in New South Wales'. This indicates that the author is from New South Wales. This author may be the same as W. T-r and/or W. T. R. These authors had poetry published in colonial newspapers and magazines in the 1830s.
