'The story deals with the arrival in Australia of an American film director, who is searching for a girl to star in the film he intends to make out here. He insists that the girl must have 'That Certain Something' which makes her stand out from other girls. His search leads him into many hilarious situations as he is besieged by thousands of ambitious young women, and the film takes full advantage of the laughter-making possibilities presented. Finally, he manages to find the girl he wants and is able to make his film, but only after coming near to nervous prostration from the happenings which beset him in the making of it.'
