'Melodrama relying heavily on titles and newspaper inserts for continuity. A financier, marooned after a shipwreck, discovers newspapers on a drifting lifeboat that show his companies have prospered in his absence, shattering his illusions of self importance. He finds solace with a female survivor and goes with her to live in New Guinea.'
