The play was advertised as a drama of Australian history, convicts, and transportation, and was both staged (as early as 1904 and as late as 1916) and filmed (in 1911) by E.J. Cole's Bohemian Dramatic Company.

Nothing has so far been traced of the playwright.

A convict drama, which turns on false imprisonment and transportation to Australia. Little else is known about the plot of this film, which is a filmed version of a successful stage melodrama.

Production Details

  • The earliest performance that has so far been traced is as part of the Bohemian Dramatic Company's 'Drama Under Canvas' (performed opposite Redfern Station, in Sydney) in early 1904.
