BiographyHistory

Richard Temple-Nugent-Brydges-Chandos-Grenville, the third Duke of Buckingham and Chandos, was Secretary of State for the Colonies from 1867 to 1868. He is included on AustLit because he was involved in dispatches surrounding changes to the Treason Felony Act in 1868.
