AbstractHistoryArchive Description

A romp rather in the style of the Raffles stories, P.G. Wodehouse, and the like: follows Preston Featherstone (All-England Monocle-Polishing Champion) and his reliable manservant Bunny, as they discover that Preston's fiancée is a spy.

Notes

  • Steampunk note: Featured in an anthology of steampunk romance fiction. Set in a alt.Victorian world (the protagonist is 'All-England monocle-Polishing Champion') and includes such technology as a rocket-powered zeppelin bike. Seems to be drawing in part on the Raffles stories (for example, the protagonist's manservant shares the same name, 'Bunny', as Raffles' offsider).
