AbstractHistoryArchive Description

A planned adaptation of William Hatfield's bush novel.

Notes

  • F.W. Thring abandoned his adaptation of Hatfield's novel in 1934, after filming multiple scenes, including a cattle mustering scene filmed on location at Cooper's Creek (see the Courier Mail, 30 September 1933, p.12).

Multiple reasons have been put forward for the abandonment of the project, including clashing commitments on the part of the actors.
