'Penny, a grip 2001 pencil, is the heroine of a delightful series of children's books by Eileen O'Hely. The first book in the series, "Penny the Pencil", won a prestigious Children's Books Ireland award and has been re-printed many times. The books are beautifully illustrated throughout by Nicky Phelan and are full of humour and charm.
