AbstractHistoryArchive Description

The Kapunda Herald was established in 1864 by Charles Barton. The printers James Elliott and Hames Scandrett became the sole owners of the newspaper just after two months of its establishment. The Herald ran for almost ninety years as a country newspaper, running reports from the small settlements across the lower and mid-north of South Australia.
