Phillip Roope has worked in the Australian film industry since the mid-1980s, primarily as a location scout/location manager. He is also an occasional script-writer.
In 2020, he co-wrote Shark Arm: A Shark, a Tattooed Arm, and Two Unsolved Murders with Kevin Meagher: it was shortlisted for the 2020 Ned Kelly Award for true crime writing and for the 2020 Danger Prize.
