An account of two assaults committed on Samuel Hawkins, editor of the The Wagga Wagga Express and Murrumbidgee District Advertiser, one by Frederick Ainslow Tompson and the other by his son. (The assaults occurred after Hawkins wrote allegedly libellous columns about Tompson in the Express.)
