AbstractHistoryArchive Description

The Empire, noting that the 7 August 1868 performance at the Royal Victoria Theatre is a benefit for Walter T. Cooper, continues: 'The last "benefit" he received resulted in a loss. It is to be hoped that the patronage to-night will not only make up for the loss, but will be of a character to encourage Mr. Cooper to engage his talents in further dramatic efforts.'
