The Empire reports on major renovations to the Lyceum Theatre (to be renamed 'The Varieties'). The report includes details of building materials, changes to the interior design of the theatre, and decorative features. The new proprietor of the theatre is 'Mr. Clark, of the Sportsman's Arms in Pitt-street'.
