'Jan's love of the sea began in Shark Bay Western Australia, where she assisted in a study of Sharks of the West Coast.
'She began sailing in 2002 in New Zealand and cruised parts of the South Pacific then the Queensland Coast and into South East Asia and The Philippines. She has recently cruised the Dalmatian Coast and the North West African Coast of the Atlantic.
'She has recently traded the sea for the forest and lives deep in the heart of the South West of Western Australia.
'A regular contributor to the cruising magazine The Coastal Passage and other international sailing magazines.'
