'The winner, Circumnavigation, is about a journey through the experience of and recovery from breast cancer. As such,
it holds together as a single collection. This is a common theme in contemporary poetry but these poems continually
surprise the reader with their freshness. The style is crisp and spare, the imagery simple but powerful.'
