'John Barnes moved to Australia from the UK more than twenty-five years ago. As a result of his involvement with several Volunteer Bush Fire Brigades he is now an Honorary Life Member of the VBFB in the Shire of Mundaring, Western Australia, and was awarded the National Medal for his service to volunteer bush fire brigades.
