AbstractHistoryArchive Description

The 'Flaneur' muses on Sydney's recent political and social occurrences, including the discharge of effluence into Port Jackson and on Sydney's streets. The 'Flaneur' then turns his attention to Walter M. Adams's poem 'Adieu Australia' written when the English visitor took his leave of Sydney. The 'Flaneur' is dismissive of Adams's poetic talent.
