The 'Flaneur' muses on Sydney's recent political and social occurrences, including the need for beautification of public spaces, and the jealousy of country people over the proportion of public expenditure directed towards the city. The 'Flaneur' also highlights the need for 'accommodation for destitute strangers' in Sydney.
