BiographyHistory

James Stark was an American actor who visited the Australian colonies on at least two occasions. His first trip was probably in 1853 and included engagements in Sydney, Port Phillip (Melbourne), and Van Diemen's Land (Hobart). Stark returned in 1868 and was engaged to perform for twelve nights at the Royal Victoria Theatre, Sydney, in early May.
