BiographyHistory

Nicole Haddow grew up in Melbourne in the 1980s. She has also spent time living in Switzerland and has also ventured to India and New York.

After completing her arts degree, she worked for some Melbourne-based media companies, then worked freelance in Sydney. Hadrow's writing has been published in magazines including Cleo, Madison, Sunday Life and more.

In addition to works listed on AustLit, she is the author of Smashed Avocado: How I Cracked the Property Market and You Can Too (Black Inc., 2019). In May 2020, it was announced that Good Thing Productions had acquired film and television rights to Smashed Avocado, and planned to adapt the book into short-form and long-form content for access across networks and streaming services.
