AbstractHistoryArchive Description

An advertisement for George Y. Dane's reading and recital at the Australian Library Hall on 15 April 1868. The recital included: A. C. Swinburne's 'An Appeal to England', Alfred Tennyson's 'The May Queen', selections from William Shakespeare's Hamlet and Julius Caesar, Edgar Allan Poe's 'The Raven', Robert Burns's 'The Cotter's Saturday Night', selections from George Gordon Byron's Childe Harold and Walter Scott's 'Love of Country'.
