BiographyHistory

Elizabeth Jessie Hunt, known as 'The Lady Bushranger', was given away by her parents to a travelling circus at the age of eight. She became a champion rough rider, and after her marriage breakdown in 1924, she established herself near Kandos, New South Wales. It was at Kandos that Hunt ran her own bushranging gang, stealing cattle and horses.
