Pseudonym for Mary Gleed Tuttiett, an English novelist and poet (who always wrote as Maxwell Gray).

In the Melbourne journal the Free-Lance, Tuttiett is described in the following way: 'Miss Mary Tuttiett [is the] daughter of a well-known doctor at Newport, Isle of White [sic]. She is a small, slight woman, with delicate health, and most of her books and poems have been written whilst reclining of a sofa. For eleven years Miss Tuttiett has never left the Isle of Wight.'
