Yolngu Languages and Culture 2 (CAS111)
Semester 1, Semester 2 / 2012

Texts

Lowe!$!B!$!Grammar Lessons in Gupapuyu!$!!$!

Description

This unit is an extension of CAS110 but with a focus on Gupapuyngu, a Dhuwala language. Students will continue to develop oral fluency in the language as well as develop research interest in a Yolngu language. The presentation of Yolngu life and language will not be in a purely anthropological or linguistic form, as this approach does not do justice to the Yolngu world of experience.

Students should refer to the following site for further information on Yolngu languages and culture units: www.cdu.edu.au/yolngustudies/.
