Eva Slonim was born in Bratislava, Slovakia, in 1931. All but one of her immediate family survived the war, and in 1948 they relocated to Melbourne. A gifted storyteller, and deeply passionate about the importance of education and community, Slonim has for many years given public talks on her experiences during the war. (Source: Black Inc website)
