BiographyHistory

Paul Gordon grew up on the Barwon River, north western New South Wales, and spent most of his childhood in rural fencing camps, in western New South Wales, and western Queensland. At the age of nineteen, he moved to Newcastle to become bricklayer, and was involved in the creation of a number of Aboriginal organisation in the region.

He returned to Brewarrina as a North Western Region Aboriginal Site Officer in 1983, where he spent time with Elders participating in cultural activities which reconnected the coastal Lore Men and western Lore Men of New South Wales. Gordon, was also CEO of an Aboriginal training organisation, he now delivers workshops on Aboriginal culture and building relationship with individuals and community.
