Jillian Schedneck is the author of the travel memoir Abu Dhabi Days, Dubai Nights, which was published by Pan Macmillan in March 2012; the work was based on her two years teaching at Abu Dhabi University and the American University in Dubai. Her work has been published in literary journals in the United States and Australia She undertook her PhD at the University of Adelaide and holds a Master of Fine Arts in creative writing from West Virginia University (awarded 2006).
