The Daily Express Newspaper Co.,Ltd. was registered on 7 April 1919, with a capital of £10,000 in £1 shares. Its object was to ‘purchase, acquire and take over as a going concern the business of the Wagga Wagga Express as at present carried on by Dunstan and Sons at Wagga Wagga’. The signatories to the memorandum were: C. Dunstan, C. W. Dunstan, G. E. Dunstan, A. A. Dunstan, F. Hartley, H. E. Mitchelmore, and A. S. Shakespeare.
