This is an introductory unit in the art of writing poetry in which students will develop aspects of poetry craft as well as discover their own poetic style. Readings of contemporary Australian poetry and essays will be included to encourage the development of critical perspectives. The unit will be conducted in workshop mode and will include readings from professional poets.
