'This project documents the life experiences of the Chinese and their descendants from various walks of life living in contemporary Australian society. The social and political processes of multiculturalism, discrimination, cultural identity and social integration are explored.'

  • 'This project known as the Post-war Chinese Australians Oral History Project was initiated in 1992 under an agreed set of funding sources continuing until mid-1999 when these funding arrangements expired. Around Aug. 1999 new funding arrangments were established and interviews with the Chinese Australian community continued under a new project agreement referred to as the Chinese Australian Oral History Partnership.'
